Palazzo Reale
The Royal Palace of Turin, built for the House of Savoy in the 17th century, was designed as a grand court residence and later enhanced by Baroque architect Filippo Juvarra. Today it is a museum showcasing royal apartments, tapestries, porcelain collections, and the Royal Armory. It is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, symbolizing Savoy power and Turin's royal past.
Palazzo Madama
One of Turin's most historically layered buildings, once serving as the first Senate of the Italian Kingdom and now housing the Museum of Ancient Art. Collections range from medieval works to 18th-century paintings, sculptures, ceramics, and decorative arts. The palace combines Roman foundations, medieval fortress structures, and Baroque additions, with restored Medieval Gardens opened in 2011.
National Museum of Cinema
Located inside the Mole Antonelliana, this is one of the most important film museums in the world. Its spiral layout guides visitors through the history of cinema, from early optical devices to modern filmmaking. A panoramic glass elevator rises through the central hall, offering 360-degree views of Turin from the top of the iconic structure.
Museo Egizio
The world's oldest museum dedicated entirely to ancient Egypt, founded in 1824. It holds one of the most important Egyptian collections globally — over 30,000 artefacts including mummies, statues, papyri and everyday objects — second only in size to Cairo's museum. Modern lighting and spatial effects enhance the display of monumental statues in a fully immersive experience.
Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile (MAUTO)
One of the world's most important automobile museums, founded in 1932. Over 200 historic vehicles from across Europe and the United States trace the evolution of automotive design, including some of the earliest Italian cars. Multimedia installations and soundscapes complement vintage vehicles, prototypes, and Formula 1 history in a fully immersive experience.
Lavazza Museum
Opened in 2018 inside the Nuvola Lavazza headquarters, this interactive museum is dedicated to the history and culture of Italian coffee. Thematic areas explore over 120 years of Lavazza, coffee production, design innovations and advertising heritage, with immersive installations simulating plantations, roasting processes and café environments.
GAM – Galleria d'Arte Moderna
One of Italy's most important modern and contemporary art museums, established in 1863 as the first public collection of modern art in the country. Today it houses over 47,000 works spanning the 19th and 20th centuries, including paintings, sculptures, installations, and video art reflecting Italian and international artistic movements.
Reggia di Venaria Reale
One of the largest royal residences in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in the 17th century as a Savoy hunting lodge and expanded into a grand Baroque palace by Filippo Juvarra, the complex includes vast gardens, monumental galleries and richly decorated interiors such as the Galleria Grande. Restored and reopened in 2007, it now hosts major exhibitions and events.
Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi
An extraordinary Baroque hunting lodge designed by Filippo Juvarra in the early 18th century for the House of Savoy. Its iconic central oval hall crowned by a dramatic dome leads to symmetrical wings. It hosted royal hunts, festivities, Napoleon and Queen Margherita. Today it houses the Museum of Furniture and Decorative Arts, preserving historic interiors of aristocratic Savoy-era Piedmont.
Armeria Reale
One of Europe's most important collections of historic weapons and armor, housed within the prestigious Royal Museums complex. The collection showcases six centuries of royal military heritage with finely crafted suits of armor, swords, firearms, and ceremonial weapons that belonged to the House of Savoy. The ornate galleries feature stunning ceiling frescoes and gilded decorations that reflect the opulence of the royal court.
