Wine Tasting
The 'King of Italian wines' from the Langhe hills nearby. Powerful, complex, built to age — unforgettable with tajarin or agnolotti.
About
Barolo is made from the Nebbiolo grape grown in the Langhe hills, just 60km south of Turin. It is one of the world's great red wines — powerful, tannic, complex, with aromas of tar, roses, violets and dried fruit. It requires years of ageing and rewards patience.
DOCG rules require at least 38 months of ageing (62 for Riserva). The best producers are in the communes of La Morra, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d'Alba and Monforte d'Alba.
